Why MOQ exists
Minimum order quantities are not arbitrary. Three things drive them: fabric rolls (coated fabrics are produced in rolls; a small order still consumes full rolls), cutting efficiency (pattern layouts only become efficient above a panel count), and line changeover (every model change costs setup time).

At YourTent, standard camping tents open at 50 pcs with mixed models allowed in one order. Custom OEM projects are quoted by scope: the more structure you change, the higher the floor — but a mixed first order (stock base + branded details) often keeps you at the standard minimum.
How to lower your effective MOQ
- Start from stock platforms. Use an existing structure, change branding and packaging.
- Mix models. One order, several tents — spreads risk across your catalogue instead of depth in one SKU.
- Use stock fabric colors for the first run; introduce custom colors at reorder.
- Phase the customization. Order 1: logo + packaging. Order 2: colors. Order 3: structure.
What drives unit price
- Quantity — the curve is steepest between 50 and 300 pcs.
- Fabric class and coating spec (TC210 cotton vs 600D Oxford vs 190T taffeta).
- Hardware grade (aluminum vs steel pole, zipper brand).
- Packaging and labeling complexity; freight terms.

- Sample — one unit, 7–15 days. Evaluate build, weight, packed size, hardware.
